Aix-Marseille University (AMU)

The largest multidisciplinary French-speaking university, Aix-Marseille University (AMU) welcomes 80,000 students and nearly 8,000 staff on 5 large campuses of international standards. Owner of 90% of its assets, the university is present in 9 cities, in 4 departments of the Southern Region.
Its A*Midex University Foundation, which is the permanent home of IDEX, contributes to the development of a world-class interdisciplinary higher education and research centre. Known as an “intensive research university”, it houses 120 research structures linked to the major national research organisations.

Laboratoire d’Informatique et Systèmes

The Computer Science and Systems Laboratory (LIS – Laboratoire d’Informatique et Systèmes – UMR 7020) is a new structure resulting of the merge of two CNRS/University labs: the Laboratoire d’Informatique Fondamentale de Marseille (LIF – UMR 7279) and the Laboratoire des Sciences de l’Information et des Systèmes (LSIS – UMR 7296).

LIS is a research lab (UMR) under the supervision of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientfique (CNRS), Aix-Marseille University and University of Toulon with the Ecole Centrale de Marseille (ECM) as a partner.

Le Centre Camille Jullian

The Camille Jullian Center is a laboratory of history and archeology that conducts archaeological and ancient history research around the Mediterranean and in North Africa, for periods ranging from Protohistory to the end of l ‘Antiquity. This mixed research unit (UMR7299) from the University of Aix-Marseille, the CNRS and the Ministry of Culture is hosted at the Mediterranean House of Human Sciences in Aix-en-Provence. LIS is a research lab (UMR) under the supervision of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientfique (CNRS), Aix-Marseille University and University of Toulon with the Ecole Centrale de Marseille (ECM) as a partner.

RPM Nautical Foundation

RPM Nautical Foundation is a non-profit IRS US 509 (a) (3) research and educational organization that performs maritime archaeological research in the Mediterranean. Our supported institution is the Institute of Nautical Archaeology. Donations to RPM Nautical Foundation are tax-deductible to the same extent as a US 501 (c) (3) entity.

IMBE

he UMR Mediterranean Institute of Biodiversity and Marine and Continental Ecology IMBE is spread between 6 main locations in Marseille, Aix en Provence and Avignon. IMBE also has the Nouméa site in New Caledonia and Le Lamentin site in Martinique; and manages the Oak Observatory (O3HP) on the CNRS site at St-Michel l’Observatoire (Haute-Provence).

With more than 280 environmental research professionals, IMBE supports strong expertise in the fields of biodiversity, evolution, ecology, paleoecology, health-environment relationships and human-environment relationships (global ecology).
